This monument is not in Davis, WVa. It is 2.5 miles off Rt 219 9 miles north of Davis in the area called Eglon, WV. There is a small marker and ditch that must be the spring that is the beginning of the Potomac River....More

I have gone here a few times. If you like history it is really neat to go see. Not much there really. But is worth the drive. Only a mile or so from the main road US 219.

i would by no means drive much out your way to visit this place, but if in the area, definitely stop by. It is cool, not much there, but still cool.

It is literally a plaque mounted to a rock. It is a cool piece of history to experience, especially if you're in the area visiting other state parks or just like a little history!

It is a bumpy ride to get there, and all there is a stone wall, a plaque and the beginning of the Potomac, which is neat to see but not really that impressive...
