Good value. Campground nice, but they really like to put rocks where you need to maneuver an rv. One water station.

Beautiful falls. Stairs go down close to falls with several spots for photo ops. There are 200 stairs with one section that is wheelchair accessible.

The State park was very accomidating. We visited a few trails and did a little geocaching. The Falls were beautiful.

The falls were slightly frozen, which made for a very beautiful scene. Highly recommended... any time of the year!

it is not difficult to find this location. Bathrooms, gift shop, all clean, hospitable. We appreciated the ice cream stand, picnic tables, walking paths, and plenty of parking. The falls are an easy walk for most; not a cavern at all. A pleasant area with...More

We spend an entire day here and hiked to see all the different waterfalls and ended up on a few unexpected trails that led us to beautiful vistas. This is one of my favorite parks. Balanced Rock trail is fun too!

I am a lover of waterfalls, so wanted to see the falls, you can see them from a distance from an overview if you are not able to walk the steps to the falls. If you can do the steps (about 200 of them but...More

The people in the shop and at the snack bar simply aren't friendly. They offer no greeting. They offer no "thanks" or anything. They offered no napkins and were eating cheeseburgers while working. The employees at Blackwater truly an embarrassment to the state of West...More

Absolutely loved it here. There are a ton of stairs. However, we did find the handicapped walkway. It could use some touch ups as the walkways was busted up in parts and there really wasn't any signs directing. Just seen one sign that said access...More

Hi, The falls are inaccessible for bathing. The boardwalk offers a close up view of the majestic and thunderous pour and this in itself could be a deterrent from wanting to going swimming.

Blackwater Falls is beautiful. There are other trails, some with beautiful vistas. About Dolly Sods, it is a hike in, hike out type of place. There is a gravel road that surrounds the area. It would be beautiful for a... More

There are 214 steps down from the gift shop to the Falls viewing platform -- and then you have to climb up all those stairs! The gentle trail, off of the main entrance road, has a nice view of the Falls in the near... More
