Beautiful location for a small, private informal event. Gravel road is a little tricky for elderly and handicapped to navigate and would suggest driving them up to the lodge to drop off before parking.

My family of three was looking for something to do outdoors for a few hours during our two day stay in Morgantown. I expected the WV Botanical Gardens to be more on par with what we're used to seeing at the NY Botanical Gardens. We...More

The botanic garden preserves a nice area away from the city of Morgantown for people to enjoy nature. There are several trails including a raised area above a marshy ecosystem. Native plants and trees are marked with name plates. The area is great for a...More

We visited the gardens today to see purples, grays, and brown. Pine cones adorn the trees as fruits are also evident. The air is crisp and the leaves crunch under your feet. We built a rock formation and walked the trails. It is wonderful to...More

Yes, I have seen them there. I believe they have a leash mandate and a pet waste policy. It doesn't seem to be on their website. If you have additional questions contact Erin Smaldone (Education Director) at 304-216-8704.
