This place is simple but very well maintained and had a gorgeous view of the rocks. It comes with tons of information, please gift shop, and clean bathrooms. If you don't want to hike, this place is a great spot to sit and let nature sink in.

Driving by, you'll see the outcrop known as Seneca Rocks. But what makes it interesting is to stop at the Visitor Center. Musicians were playing Appalachian music in the gift shop and several people were selling hand-made pottery and goods in the foyer area. It was a great way to understand the local flavor of the area. Whether you're hiking, climbing to the top of the rock, or just passing through, you'll want to stop at the visitor's center! They have the best view of Seneca Rocks, ample comfortable seating inside and outside! What a wonderful and unexpected find on our recent trip. The discovery center offers a look into how this majestic rock was formed, the types of trees, animals and insects found on and around it and much more.

My husband and I did the 1.5 mile hike up to the Observation platform at Seneca Rocks, and visited the Discovery Center at its base before and after the hike. They have good, easily accessible information about the area there, as well as an awesome gift shop. We bought a bunch of great T-shirts and nature-oriented gifts for the grand-kids.... More
