We spent over 3 hours at the asylum. Our docents Rachel (the 4 floor tour) & Matt (the Criminally Insane tour) were excellent - personable & knowledgeable. How they can walk backward while telling us their story is a wonder! Glad we were finally able...More

Greg was our VIP tour guide. Could not have a better well informed person to lead a group interested in so many aspects of the property. Well worth the time to visit.

Very informative interesting guide. We took the paranormal tour and got both the history of the building and interesting facts about the paranormal activity at the building. We went for our Wedding Anniversary and had a wonderful time.

Trans Allegheny Insane Asylum is a very interesting trip. We did both the historical tour and criminally insane tour. We will probably go back to do the paranormal tour. Both tours were very informative.

I was reading that the overnight tours are from 9 pm until 5 am. Are there any places to sleep or lie down during the time you are there? Not sure my older parents would make it through. I'd hate to pay for the family as a gift and they have to leave early.
