Nice zoo to visit. It has a nice small collection of North American animals. It is a small zoo so you can see it in less than an hour. It is compact but the exhibits' are decent and the animals look good. We make a...More

A small but lovely zoo, perfect for children and adults alike. There are a variety of animals to view and the size of the zoo makes it manageable. A special place.

New this year are snowy owls, barred owls, and work has started on a new River otter exhibit. Certainly 5 stars due to being free...but even nicer than some places you pay for, so don't expect the San Diego Zoo, but expect to enjoy 45...More

We went because of the tripadvisor reviews. It wasn't amazing. It wasn't boring. It was free, interesting, different. You do get to see wolves, that isn't really something you get to see even at zoo's. So overall, zoo-free. Park is a park. It was all...More

This is a relatively decent zoo for a small town such as Baraboo. Small variety of animals, up close.

Free zoo, friendly and educated staff... can hardly wait for the otter exhibit. Great place to spend a half day.

We had a short time to waste in Baraboo. This zoo is easy to find, right in town. Free. My grandson loved the prairie dog exhibit. It took about 20 minutes to look at all the animals.

Most of the animals here are rescues and they seem very well cared for. It's nice to stop in and walk around to see how they're all doing and to see the newest rescues and progress on fundraising for new habitats.
