This is a great park to take the family. Lots of good trails to hike, and very close to the Mississippi River. Chose the sites overlooking the river - you will not be disappointed!

It got very foggy during our visit but what we could see was beautiful. Benches were in perfect locations just wish we would have brought a thermos of coffee to enjoy it a little bit more.

There are the most spectacular views from this park from the top of the bluff. Campsites along the way give the visitor a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors, and all the sights, sounds and smell of the country.

The trails are a little hard to find and short, but the views of the Mississippi River from the Mound Point Trail were worth the trip to this small, quiet [except for the trains] State Park. If you visit here, make sure to also visit the Stonefield Historic Site directly across the road from the Park entrance. There is a... More

We come here all the time and it never disappoints. The park is beautiful and bathrooms are clean. This was the first time I have camped through a thunderstorm and boy was that loud. The views are beautiful though and the hiking trails are clearly marked.

Seriously, a lot of trains, close, and loud. Family of seven, there late June. T O N S of mosquitos, really just relentless, all day and night. Don't know if this was purely timing, as I was at New Glarus a few weeks earlier and there were zero. Site was decent, bathroom was nice. Enjoyed nearby attractions, historical sites, etc.... More

We camped here in a popup Memorial Day weekend. We camped on Group site 99. We had a great time. The park was clean and everything was very nice. It was in good proximity to the Grant River for Fishing and a stones throw from the Mississippi. The views up top were breathtaking. Cassville just a mile away had a really... More

We enjoyed staying at this park to camp for a long weekend. However most of the night your sleep may be interrupted by trains passing constantly. They didn't wake me however woke my husband up quite a lot. A must see is across the street at Stonefield. A great little recreated old city.
