Irvine Park is a jewel in a small town. I don't know how many acres it covers, but it offers a zoo, several picknicing areas, a bandshell, a cool creek to wade in and hiking in the woods. Be sure to spray for ticks.

I shot a wedding at this park Sep. 2016. Beautiful place, ample parking, trails to walk. Make sure to check out the rumble bridge to the north. Very pretty.

We stopped here because I saw they had a small zoo. In the middle of the park they have a small zoo with some bears, lions, monkeys, owls, buffalo, and other animals. It is a free zoo, so you are able to see the animals....More

I love the zoo. We go with family and friends, have picnics. We have a fundraiser event every May to help but the animals things.

This is a great park to visit anytime of the year! This park had great walking trails, great place for picture taking, love seeing the animals during the summer, my favorite is all the Christmas lights! It's a must see every year!!

The old cave that was used to store soda and beer is located on the old bear den road. It has always been available to enter. That park road is sometimes only available for walkers or bikers during the day. It is a short... More

The closing time is 8:00 pm. It is posted around the park and there are gates in strategic places where they close the park. I was there today and the new Welcome Center was not open yet. Saying mid-June. But the... More

Is the park open for picnics now? Are dogs allowed in park?

Yes the park is open and you can have dogs as long as they are on a leash and you clean up after them. They don't allow them in the animal buildings as it may upset the animals.
