Located just outside of Chippewa Falls. Nice park area, trails, and small zoo with large animals. A gem in the rough. Nice place for a trail walk and a zoo for the kids. Definitely a place to see if in the area.

Surprising and fun. Strange combo of zoo, park, great views, history and outdoors. Didn't have enough time to truly enjoy but if i get back to the area i definitely will. Great place for kids.

Lovely day. Great little zoo. Lots to offer. Enjoyed a hike up the hill. Trees and Chippewa river, nature so inviting. Loved family time there.

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice little zoo in a town the size of Chippewa Falls. Well kept, modern and easily accessible, this is a great place to spend a few hours with family or alone. Although I'm not the biggest fan...More

Our church has bible study throughout the summer there. It is a very quiet atmosphere. Good place to reflect on God's word. Later in the day, there are great activities for families and kids!

Bring a picnic lunch, find one of the many picnic tables or head under a pavilion. For large groups, reserve a pavilion! The playground equipment is very modernized and many walking opportunities. They do a have petting zoo, too.

The park occupies a valley along a creek. Picnic areas and walking trails are available as is a small zoo. The tigers and bears are held in pretty spare concrete and bar cages but the bison and elk are in a more natural environment. No...More

The old cave that was used to store soda and beer is located on the old bear den road. It has always been available to enter. That park road is sometimes only available for walkers or bikers during the day. It is a short... More

The closing time is 8:00 pm. It is posted around the park and there are gates in strategic places where they close the park. I was there today and the new Welcome Center was not open yet. Saying mid-June. But the... More

Yes the park is open and you can have dogs as long as they are on a leash and you clean up after them. They don't allow them in the animal buildings as it may upset the animals.
