We decided to go hiking in Peninsula State Park on a warm(45degree) afternoon in November. So many trails, many along the coast of the Bay, just beautiful scenery! The only issue was we were trying to locate the Eagle lookout Tower but after searching all over we discovered that the Tower was torn down in July, but the Park staff... More

So much to see and do. Very peaceful. Nice trails. Great views. Go to the lighthouse and check it out while you're there. Nice state park and worth a stop.

If you are a photographer or artist, there are many good scenic spots to relax and use your artistic skills to portray this beautiful area. I have seen wild turkeys, a group of deer and taken many photos here. I have even taken at least 3 Door County trolley tours through here. $5 fee to tour the park in your... More

This location offers path and bike trail through a broad choice of terrain. And all the time there are excellent vistas of the lake. Kids love to romp through "the jungles:.

The park is gorgeous, absolutely stunning views everywhere you turn. However, we went with the intention to hike and maybe it was just us but we could not find any parking areas near the trails beginnings (We couldn't really find the trails beginnings for the matter either). The only parking areas that we did find were for harder trails, we... More

In November, ample parking is available on the street in Fish Creek and at some businesses that are closed on either Saturday or Sunday. Sunset trail is easy, skirts the water and is a mixture of paved and in some areas crushed stone/clay. Excellent photo opportunities abound as this bike route is gorgeous and should not be missed. Complete loop... More

The park is now closed for camping after Labor Day (more Scott Walker budget cuts?), so it was very quiet when we visited, but it was a lovely place to drive and do some short walking exploration. We paid for a one hour pass, and it was enough for us to see all of the park. Lovely views and some... More

This was one of the two state parks where our foursome hiked, and it was quite an enjoyable trek. The hills are not substantial, and the trail is gorgeous. We went just after the fall color peaked, and it was still gorgeous. You'll want to stop and snap photos. This stone/paved trail was easily negotiable, but I'm not certain you'd... More

We rented a tandem bike from the shop at the entrance to the park and set out on the Sunset Trail. It's a gravel trail with some mild hills that winds through the park. It has several fantastic stopping points and was a joy. We loved our visit.
