Old Times

Old times are not forgotten with this blast from the past auto museum. My 15 year old son loves the cars and history.

We've been to this museum twice. Our last trip was in March, 2017. Both visits were a wonderful experience. The cars are beautifully restored. Many capture a forgotten part of automotive history. The first floor of cars focus on the early 20th century, with a special emphasis on cars made in Wisconsin. The second floor is an eclectic mix of... More

I was pleasantly surprised by this museum & the town. We spent a little over 2 hours looking at the cars. They do a good overview of Nash and Kissel automotive history. Each car has a description in front of it so you know what you are looking at & the original purchase price.

The museum was poorly lighted, many of the areas were quite dark. A nice collection of old cars that most people have never heard of. They also had a nice collection of signs, but of course some were reproduction s. I do not know what I have to pay to see made up stuff.

Went back a few years or so ago and we were pleasantly surprised. Was on a weekday so it was virtually empty. This place was GREAT. Had a really cool train set(one of the biggest I've seen) REALLY cool old cars and a bit of Wisconsin history thrown in. Also at the time of our visit they had an old... More

Hartford produced cars and trucks, including during WW I, inthe tens of thousands until 1931 and less than 150 known examples exist today! There are 25 of the Kissel Kar in this museum and over 110 vehicles total. Car owners included the likes of Amelia Earhart, Mary Pickford, and Fatty Arbuckle. Also Nash and Hudson vehicles are here. Great place to visit, worlds largest collection of Kissel cars. Nice railroad display as well, with a large operable steam locomotive.

This museum is dedicated mainly to two unique auto manufacturers; Kissel and Nash. Numerous autos of both marques are on display along with a second floor of vehicles from other manufacturers. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Hartford's automotive past brought to light with the display of many Kissel cars that were manufactured here. Other noteworthy cars such as more modern racers are also on display.

We have been wanting to visit this museum for quite some time and finally made the trip. The car collection was amazing and is very interesting. The Lionel train display is wonderful. So much history in this building and the volunteers were very informative and welcoming. A must see for anyone who can appreciate vintage cars.
