We were looking for a day trip destination and thoroughly enjoyed this museum. A beautiful, very new facility, we self-guided and spent several hours seeing all the different displays. The circular layout and the period displays were well done. Highly recommend.

I love museums, especially those off the beaten path. Still, this disappointed. It is a large place. Lots of mannequins and posters to read relative to the number of artifacts.More

This Civil War museum ranks among the best we've visited. Great displays, movie that was phenomenal and child friendly. It is also easily accessible.
