Definitely worth the drive and possible short walk. Parking is limited near the overlook, but it's all completely free. Check it out, the view is amazing.

This is a neat little overlook of La Crosse. The park is clean and there is a pavilion there with 2 fireplaces. I didn't see any wood there so you must have to bring your own but what a cool thing.

If you're in the area going to this bluff is a must. The drive up to the viewing area is beautiful and very twisty. Once you get to the top the view is spectacular on a sunny day. There are several historical fact markers to...More

My husband and I drove up to the bluff and the views are really wonderful! You can see a lot of the city from there! It had some interesting information on signs that described how the bluff was saved from being stripped of all vegetation.

The drive to the top, up a narrow, winding road, led to breathtaking views, without literally taking my breath away. A great way to see the area, without the hike!!

Just a short drive from downtown. Be careful driving up here if it's near freezing as there may be ice on the road to the top. The views from the bluff up and down the valley and out over the city will take your breath...More

You start by driving up a winding road to the top. Not to bad for someone with a thing about heights. Once there you start to see the view. Fantastic view, you can see forever. Well worth the drive up. Clean restrooms on site.

You'll drive to the top and there's a concrete sidewalk that leads to both the shelter and the overlook. In fact, it's handicapped accessible

It is accessible by car. There is a parking lot and a short, easy walk to the overlook. There are also trails from there for those who want to explore further.
