It's a nice walk along the Mississippi River. There are neat sculptures along the river too. I enjoyed the International Garden at the Vistor's Center. I highly recommend vistors to take a stroll along the river.

My friends and I were visiting the area for the weekend and walked downtown through Riverside Park and it's beautiful! Great view along the lake and close to many bars and restaurants.

It was Beautiful walk. Walked early morning with my boys (dogs) walked afternoon and evening. Felt save every time. lots of benches to stop and take a break. Very clean well taken care of.

Riverside Park has a great walking area and beautiful view of the river. From the park, you can walk across the bridge, go to the paddle boat or visit restaurants.

Pettibone park is right across the river from Riverside park. Pettibone has a public beach.

As I recall, I did see a dog being walked on a leash on the sidewalk. I don't actually know the rules but I'm sure they would have to be kept on the sidewalk as not to soil the area where people sit and children play... More
