This lovely 21-mile walking path, around Geneva Lake, takes pedestrians by impressive homes and quiet lakeside neighborhoods. A two-mile swath on the West End offers a manageable stroll, lovely views, and passes landmarks such as the Abbey Resort and Fontana Spa and popular local eateries like Chuck's.

My boyfriend and I traveled over half way around the lake on the river walk. Had great views of so many different house types. Friendly people were at the houses that would wave as you walked through their backyard... it was strange at first to be walking through others property. But definitely an affordable must do if you like walking... More

Love walking around the lake. Beautiful sights of the lake and homes. Fun to walk in the winter too, but may be difficult for some. Path can be narrow and muddy (which I thought was a fun change of pace)

While the whole idea of being able to walk around the lake sounds good. It isn't entirely practical. Parts are easy to walk and easily assessable but leading from Lake Geneva it goes through the home front yards and the path in narrow and slanted in many areas as well as pretty sloped. I have knee problems and couldn't handle... More

Whether it is early spring, mid summer, or late fall, the walk around sections of Geneva Lake never disappoints. Get a copy of Walk, Talk and Gawk at a local retailer and plan how to accomplish sections of the lake over a few days time. Or, set aside a complete day to challenge yourself to the complete journey.

The walk around the lake was beautiful. It was a nice way to spend part of the day away from the shops and cars.

We started from Lake Geneva on two different occasions - the first time walking left (west) and the second time walking right (east). Both walks were lovely, and I can't really say that either was superior to the other. I believe the sign said that the distance around the lake is 20 miles, so to do the whole distance, you... More

Beautiful views of the lake and mansions. If you can drop your car off and start a few miles up, it is well worth it. It was about 60 degrees and perfect.

My wife and I walked the shore path from Williams Bay toward Fontana. Path is pretty well maintained, view is wonderful. We did not go all the way to Fontana. Turned around just after we passed George Williams College lakeside campus. There are no restroom facilities along the path, but George Williams College has restrooms that are accessible from outside.... More
