Very enlightening travel experience, on a real steam train of yesteryear, the history of the lumberjack days of yore await you as you arrive at the Lumberjack Museum, and you get to ride the train back to the depot.

The entire experience was a blast! From the train ride, photo opportunities, free apple cider and s'mores, cute country store, immaculate museum, forest tour, corn maze, and petting zoo! There is something for everyone to enjoy and will keep your interest piqued! We even got to get a closer look inside the locomotive after our ride back to the station!

Now don't get me wrong, this is a unique and interesting venue. But if you're expecting a relaxing train ride through the countryside, you're going to be disappointed. The ride lasts just over five minutes in each direction. They have restored the equipment and depot very nicely. The two cars and two cabooses are a step back in time. The... More

This is a fun little railroad. We didn't actually get off the train to tour the museum part, because we are huge train fanatics. But I heard people saying it was fun. We went on opening day, and the mosquitos ate us alive. We even had bug spray, so be prepared for that. Don't know if it gets better throughout... More

Our visit actually occurred last fall, after I investigated this train ride which was also privy to a semi-annual train robbery. I wanted to surprise my mother with something different, & I certainly did. It was a blast. We felt like we had stepped back in the time of the Old West. Would definitely recommend this as a memorable trip.

We checked this out on the last Saturday they were open in the fall and they were BUSY! If you plan to go when there is a special event, call ahead and order tickets. If the will call window isn't open, don't be afraid to make your way to the front of the line to purchase tickets to pick up... More

We were kindly greeted by two gentlemen the moment we walked into the train stationI. Immediately we felt we time traveled back to the late 1800s .The train , the actors in their old western wear seemed very authentic . On the train one of the older gentlemen who looked like Grizzly Adams gave our daughter a talk about his... More

We visited for the first time in August. It was super hot and humid and made for a pretty miserable experience. The train ride was short and slow, and my son (age 7, former Thomas the Tank Engine fanatic) wasn't too impressed with any of it, so as a result we left disappointed overall. Reading some of the reviews here,... More

The train ride is short but fun for little kids. There is a petting zoo at the farm and 2 times a year they have a cowboy takeover of the train. The fall ride includes a pumpkin for the kids to decorate and take. Also a campfire with s'mores! Not to mention face painting. A great vacation stop. Train goes... More

The steam train ride was fun. There are a couple different cars to choose from, an open observation car, some general passenger cars, and some caboose cars, with upper seats. We chose two different cars for the two rides. The museum wasn't so interesting for my little children, but my husband and I did enjoy the historical information. There was... More
