Diverse museum

Not a "hands-on" museum, but still a very nice one. Covers many different topics. The streets of Milwaukee was my favorite exhibit.

Wow! A great place to spend the day with the kids if you can get them past the dinosaur exhibit just inside the main entrance

This museum is fine but offers nothing more than any other museum. I made a scavenger hunt for our family to do from attractions noted on the website and a majority of the stuff was no where to be found. Hard to keep little kids interested without much interaction. It was okay, lots of hard work obvious....just not all that... More

Had not been in years but went to see new Streets of Old Milwaukee! The Civilizations exhibit was excellent, and enjoyed the new Origin of Food exhibit. The reciprocity we got for joining made it easy to visit other places on spring break. Definitely worth the time and money!

I had been here as a child, and went back with my husband for a mini vacation weekend. We were impressed by the sheer size of the museum. There are so many areas and levels that you really need a whole day to see even part of it. The old world streets were our favorite, and we also enjoyed the... More

Not as large as I expected from the reviews, but the food options were great. Sushi stand was delicious and very reasonable. Lots of interesting spice mixes and jars of sauces. Parking easy and cheap too - right outside.

It's a bit pricey but the fun factor is high. Our kids love to bring along a few dollars to get some sugar sticks at the old candy store in the Streets of Old Milwaukee section. It's time for some re-vamping in some exhibits but many are still relevant and sparkling.

Don't visit Milwaukee without seeing this museum ! An incredible variety of items to see including an intractive butterfly exhibit, Egyptian ( with mummies) exhibit. The 'Streets of Milwaukee' showcases all of the diverse Nationalties of Milwaukee immigrants, that includes sections of houses showcasing interiors: For instance, Swedish house, German house, all positioned along a 'street'. The rainforest is awesome,... More

I took my family here during my kids spring break. In the blink of an eye we were there for 5 1/2 hours. Not once did my kids complain. Very neat museum. Something there for everyone's liking. Butterfly exhibit was really cool. I highly recommend MPM
