Situated on the Lake Michigan shore, this park plays host to Milwaukee's sizzling summer circuit of ethnic and music festivals. Promoting an understanding of different ethnic cultures, the histories and traditions of various nationalities, harmony in the community, civic pride and provides a showcase for performing arts, activities and recreation for the public. Festivals throughout the year held at Henry Maier Festival Park: Polish Fest , Pride Fest, Summerfest, Festa Italiana, German Fest, Jazz Visions on the Lake, Irish Fest, Mexican Fiesta, Indian Summer Festival, Fromm Pet Fest.

We attended the Milwaukee Irish Fest held in this park. It's a great venue for festivals etc. with many stages and vendor stands etc. However we were not allowed to bring in our own folding chairs and the metal benches were killer on our backs....More

Beautiful, clean and plenty of room to walk around. Great venue. Loved the customer service of all the paid and volunteer employees. Would visit any event in a heartbeat if I only lived in Wisconsin.

The park itself is nice. We attended the last weekend of July when they hosted Germanfest. The park itself is good size with plenty of eateries, plenty of clean restrooms, covered event and arena areas with seating for stage shows, bands, song and dance, etc....More

I would suggest I94 to I794 toward the lake--it will take you right there--just follow the signs. :) Have fun!

Irish Fest has a special section for dogs of Irish heritage.... but they must be invited and must be accompanied at all times by holder
