My husband and I frequent Shaker's often. Yes, we do particularly love spending time with the engaging staff, we especially enjoy feasting on the exquisite cuisine with ties all over the world, and yes, we do enjoy the occasional cigar. But we love spending time here because of the atmosphere - it's calm, it's exciting, and it's enthralling at the... More

Boyfriend and I attended Shakers because I'm a fan of historic buildings and the paranormal. He's a skeptic. We bought tickets for the 2.0 tour, which is worth the extra $5 a ticket, because you get to actually use rods to "speak" with spirits. I'll get to that though. The bar itself is flawlessly vintage and seriously just amazing. All... More

This place is everything you want when you go to a speak easy, but not overdone. In fact besides the haunted ghost tours this place doesn't try to be touristy or gimmicky. It feels authentic and unchanged since it opened. They have a small grill and a great beer - shadow people on tap! If you are looking for a... More

We had a drink and then went on the tour. It was a speak-easy and brothel during Prohibition days. The violence led to ghost stories. The tour goes round to an alley, into the basement and upstairs. Gretchen was a charming tour guide.

First off I believe this is my favorite bar in Milwaukee now. The tour of the rich history of the building was well worth it and exciting. Ghost ale they serve is really fantastic. And the food some of the best I have had in Milwaukee!!!

I was in town on business and was looking for a place to eat, drink, and have one of my cigars. Luckily I found Shakers and was able to accomplish all 3 things. As cigar bar etiquette dictates, I did not smoke from my own stash and instead bought one from their humidor. Even got a chance to meet the... More

Nice staff and cute patio area. There are cigar smokers around but they have enough fans and ventilation that it is not overwhelming. Great old bar that kept the feel and history! Take the ghost tour well worth it to hear about the history of the place and area!

Jenica (the bartender) is really cute and nice and gave us a little overview of the history of the building, while making us FLAMING Absinthe cocktails! She convinced us to check out one of their "Ghost Tours" of the old speakeasy and the brothels upstairs! We even got to go in the basement, where there are victims of Al Capone... More

This is a wonderful bar with a great history. For those so inclined, they sell cigars and they allow smoking within the facility. While this may bother non-smokers,there is an option, stay away. There is a lovely selection of beers and drinks. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and most helpful. Great place for the guys to hang out but truth... More

This was one of the most fun places I have visited! Great atmosphere and great service. The staff are awesome! If you are up for it you can also go on their ghost tour. Fun history and a bit spooky too!
