The Oriental Theater is a small, three screen independent theater with classically ornate decor and extremely friendly and personable staff. Ticket prices are reasonable and this is a great place to see films that you can't find anywhere else in the area. Also, in my...More

We hadn't been here in years, so we picked up some friends on a freezing cold Thursday night and headed to Downer Avenue. I dropped them off and went in search of a parking spot, and as I circled the block things didn't look too...More

The Oriental shows captivating films - including many from the National Theatre in London. Live performances from the UK - everyone should see these. Wander around and view the old movie posters and elephants on the walls. Oldest theatre in Milwaukee.

This theater is a grand old elegant movie house from a bygone era. If you enjoy watching movies that you won't find at the local cineplex and you like ambience , this is the place to go. Always a nice experience

Our waiter at Transfer Pizza (Great place!!) suggested the Oriental Theater as a good experience when asked where the closest theater was. He was right!!! It is a throw back to when it opened in 1927 and has been in continuous operation ever since. It...More

Beautiful old theater that is in fine shape. Comfortable though narrow seats - not a problem when I am the only one in the theater. Indie movies.

Saw an awesome movie midday here. It's what going to three movies should be like. Good snacks fair prices classy and classic experience. Also these types of theatres always seem too show quality films and this one odd no exception.

This is an old , 1920s theater that has been renovated. It is absolutely stunning. Did not see a movie here (just toured the lobby and took a quick look into the main theater during the film festival), but what a treat it would be...More

It's a really cool place...unfortunately the seats feel like they are gonna fall part. Wish they'd invest in some new seating because they are very uncomfortable. But I love it they play quality movies and not just the blockbusters.
