Walkable, hip, and great restoration of beautiful old buildings. Great location for dining inside restaurants, or sitting at outside cafes and coffee shops. People watching is a must here, and the people are friendly, helpful and warm, just like the city,

I love to visit places that give you a feel for the local spirit and the Historic Third Ward is Milwaukee. This location can be enjoyed via the scenic Riverwalk or car and offers both shopping and eateries for everyone. My favorite stop is the...More

I live in NYC, so city living is my thing. But the Historic Third Ward was an adorable home away from home. I loved the convenience of having restaurants, coffee shops, The Public Market, and shopping all within walking distance to my hotel (The Journey...More

I go here about once a year for my birthday lately; a lot of restaurants on "best of" lists for Milwaukee are here, I like some of the shops and boutiques. There is a mixture of businesses though and it doesn't look like a very...More

My wife and I just love walking around the third ward. From the Milwaukee Public Market to all the boutique stores. The people keep it beautiful.

The fact that this is on the list of top attractions in Milwaukee tells you all you need to know about the city. We walked around for about a half hour and asked ourselves, "is that it, really?"

One of the cool areas near the riverwalk. Plenty of shops, bars dining. Must see if your downtown. Plenty of markets at the public market area

We watched kayaker's on the river, ate at the market, had drinks at Safe House, found the bronze fonze, and just loved walking around. A really hip neighborhood.

We love going to the Third Ward for shopping and especially all of the eclectic restaurants it has. I particularly love going to the little place on the corner that offers a lobster dinner for around $13! Can't go wrong. I also found a great...More

Found free weeknight parking at 6 pm when meters not longer in effect by the art college. Walked leisurly along the Milwaukee river for a ways. Both sides had interesting plantings and sculptures. We could have gone much further but had shortened daylight. Watched rowing...More

I would go to the art museum and eat there. Pretty lake views even if art isn't your thing. And there are a couple of places to eat there that have good quality food.

I was there over the Labor Day weekend and they had a huge Arts and Crafts show, and live music. Their were quite a few family's there but the weather was perfect, what time of year are you going?
