We had a good time looking around and learning about the history of aviation. There was a lot to see. Unfortunately, there was a chemical smell (paint or something similar) which was overbearing and so we left after 45 minutes with headaches. We'll visit again sometime when they're not renovating.

Good afternoon. My name is Amy Reese and I'm the marketing manager at EAA. I was very sorry to hear that your visit was cut short due to the refurbishing of the floor in the museum. I'm pleased that you enjoyed what you were able to see and would like to discuss what we could do for you so that... More

The EAA AirVenture Museum has just about everything you might want to know about aircraft. There are wonderful exhibits that walk you through the history of aviation. Make sure you check dates before you go...the last week of July and first week of August are usually very busy because of their convention.

I have been going to Oshkosh on vacations for years and always plan to go to the museum at least one day during my trip. Avoid the museum during the airshow week it tends to be packed. I love the exhibits but spend most of my time in the World War II exhibit. Not to expensive and something the whole... More

The Smithsonian Air & Space museum it isn't, but a very nice museum. I didn't know what to expect upon entering and was pleasantly surprised. While all the exhibits were nice, I most enjoyed the military aircraft and nose art. I also like the C47 as that's the type aircraft flown by my father in WWII.

Museum has an amazing breadth from earliest flight, barnstorming, war birds, to Rutan and other modern planes. You can spend an hour or a day. The hangers are not always open in the winter though. The current special exhibit is nose art which is nostalgic fun.

Even with snow in the air, this museum was well worth the visit. Give yourself some time to take in all that it has to offer!

We spent the day here. Over 6 hours and we didn't have enough time. This place is amazing. If you love airplanes and history, this is the best place for you. I have been to Air Museums all over the country and this by far is the best I have ever seen. If you are in Oshkosh, you don't want... More

We attended the September Swing Hangar Dance held at the museum and were very impressed with the space for the event. The planes and memorabilia were a great theme. The room was large enough for the 19-piece band on a stage, seating and large dance floor. Acoustics were great.

We have been fans of EAA for years & every time we visit it is a new experience. Don't miss the current exhibit of WWll "nose art". Fascinating history not to be missed. From Wright to Rutan and beyond, there are hands on interactive exhibits for the kids and explanations of aerodynamics on every level of interest. I would say... More
