We were there early on an October Saturday - hardly any other visitors. One of our group uses a wheelchair, so we appreciated the easy access and conveniently located elevators. Plan to spend 2 -3 hours here - lots to see. We really enjoyed the kids' area, even though we were all adults. Lots of fun to try the different... More

We are members of the EAA so we get into the museum for free. This weekend adventure was a display on nose art painted on the noses of various air planes from bygone era. It was very interesting. Many aircraft from various decades in aviation history.

Mandatory visit for your Oshkosh Airventure Experience. Lots of people at this time but that is the character of Oshkosh. Check the speakers' program and plan your visit. Easy to navigate around the museum. Take the bus. Pioneer village is nearby. So much to see in the museum.

We had a good time looking around and learning about the history of aviation. There was a lot to see. Unfortunately, there was a chemical smell (paint or something similar) which was overbearing and so we left after 45 minutes with headaches. We'll visit again sometime when they're not renovating.

Good afternoon. My name is Amy Reese and I'm the marketing manager at EAA. I was very sorry to hear that your visit was cut short due to the refurbishing of the floor in the museum. I'm pleased that you enjoyed what you were able to see and would like to discuss what we could do for you so that... More

The EAA AirVenture Museum has just about everything you might want to know about aircraft. There are wonderful exhibits that walk you through the history of aviation. Make sure you check dates before you go...the last week of July and first week of August are usually very busy because of their convention.

I have been going to Oshkosh on vacations for years and always plan to go to the museum at least one day during my trip. Avoid the museum during the airshow week it tends to be packed. I love the exhibits but spend most of my time in the World War II exhibit. Not to expensive and something the whole... More

The Smithsonian Air & Space museum it isn't, but a very nice museum. I didn't know what to expect upon entering and was pleasantly surprised. While all the exhibits were nice, I most enjoyed the military aircraft and nose art. I also like the C47 as that's the type aircraft flown by my father in WWII.

Museum has an amazing breadth from earliest flight, barnstorming, war birds, to Rutan and other modern planes. You can spend an hour or a day. The hangers are not always open in the winter though. The current special exhibit is nose art which is nostalgic fun.

Even with snow in the air, this museum was well worth the visit. Give yourself some time to take in all that it has to offer!
