While the trail was well kept and an easy ride, I was hoping for a little more in the way of scenery. It's just a straight ride from Elroy to Reedsburg. The Baraboo River was stagnant and a bit murky. I would recommend the Elroy-Sparta...More

The 400 trail goes through several nice small towns. Many bridges to cross. Bluffs, farms and winding river views. Took the Hillsboro trail which was also flat but trail is more sandy.

We walk here several times a week. There are plenty of places from which to access the trail, from Reedsburg, to LaValle, to Woneoc, to Union Center, as well as access points in between. Great nature, often including ponds and the Baraboo River.

The bike trail is very nice and pretty flat! Sue at the 400 trail headquarters was awesome - she was very friendly and helpful!

A nice bike trail with pleasant sights, traveling stops in small Wisconsin towns. The 3 train tunnels add a thrill for the pedaler. Bring a light! Enjoy the ride!

Great trail, quite flat, relaxing ride. Lots of shade on a hot summer day!! Beautiful scenery any time of the biking season. You can rent a bike right in Reedsburg if you don't want to bring your own.

Do-able on a road bike but slow going if, like us, you are trying to make time on a long tour. We rode from Madison to Elroy. Left the trail in La Valle as it started to pour and the trail got muddy. Took the...More
