We were not able to go inside the building, as it is only open are specific days. However, the outside of the building was pretty cool and unique for the area. A must see for FLW fans, as it is not like all the houses...More

I'd not picked up on this until we visited Taliesin - it's a warehouse designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the Mayan style - and it, sadly, bankrupted Mr German - not unheard of with FLW I'm afraid. That said, the preservation group working on...More

The society to save the German Warehouse does an excellent tour. If you are in Spring Green, et al, doing the Frank Lloyd Wright Tour, do go the extra 20 miles to see the German Warehouse in Richland Center, FLW's hometown. It is open Sundays...More

The birthplace of Frank Lloyd Wright, the world's greatest ever architect, has finally opened one of the oldest Wright structures for tours. The volunteer guides are fairly well informed and have a long way to go in raising funds for renovating the building. An interested...More

The Warehouse is located in the community of Richland Center, FLW's birthplace. It's an unusual example of early Wright design, not to missed by architectural enthusiasts. (Couple your visit with a tour of the town's many excellent preserved design masterpieces.) Our docent knew an incredible...More

I'd like to know when these other people that gave reviews were able to go inside. I have stopped several times and could not get in. It looked deserted. Windows in front were dirty and you couldn't hardly see inside. It is a shame that...More

Frank Lloyd Wrights first creation. Open for visitors on Sunday's if you want a peek inside. They also have some gifts that are for sale.

The A.D. German Warehouse is indeed not a typical Frank Lloyd Wright creation. But in true flamboyant fashion of never doing anything simple, this building is also by no means a typical warehouse. Best known for its elaborate cast concrete frieze along the top of...More

We drove by for a look and it was neat. We couldn't go in but we took pictures and walked around the building. Kind of sad that it's such bad shape but still interesting to see. I'm guessing it won't be getting better anytime soon.
