We did a family photo shoot just before sunset. It was so beautiful in the sand dunes, with the blue water as our background. Also love camping, hiking and beach time at this extraordinary state park.

In general, Lake Michigan is warmest in August. As far as the park goes, parts of it are heavily wooded, which most campers really like for the shade! There are numerous campsites that are pretty open to the sun so campers... More

This summer has been wet. More skeeters than normal. Stay where the wind blows or bring your bug juice.
