This is a small but pleasant park. One side of the mounds trail is closely bordered by residential homes. There are 18 mounds which are marked by small signs tell what effigy they represent. The main mounds trail is an almost level 20 minute stroll....More

In a wooded area south of the city of Sheboygan, in the Town of Wilson, and east of a golf club, this is the site of several ancient indian mounds. There are accessible paths among the mounds.

We're so glad we visited this little park and saw the effigy mounds, and very grateful that at least this one small piece of Native American heritage has been preserved. The walk was pleasant and the wooded park quite pretty, though the housing development immediately...More

This place wasn't what I was expecting, but I was not disappointed. In a heavily wooded park there are walking trails around Indian burial grounds from 1500 years ago. There were informative signs and an interesting visual display.

I have never seen anything like this before so I had no idea what to expect. The trails were nicely maintained and the signs were very educational. It was a peaceful place to contemplate the existence of an ancient people.

If you've never seem effigy mounds take a short walk thru indian mounds. I went here a lot as a child and it's pretty neat and you see the burial practices of some native americans.

A nice nature trail outside Sheboygan. Ancient site best viewed by air but distinctive history and mounds.

Hidden, small Gem of our First Americans. Houses nearby, so it is in a neighborhood! Less than 20 minutes to walk around. Bring mosquito repellet

The park can be difficult to locate. The mounds are small and close together. The nature trial was very nice and I enjoyed that more. Maybe a 30 stop unless you picnic.

There is no interpretive center here. There is no one around to answer questions. But there is a good map and an information board explaining the mounds. The “mound trail” is very short and if you walked it without... More
