This is a hidden gem! So unexpected to see this deep gorge near the lake. Unfortunately there was so little water that there was not a waterfall but it was still breathtaking and not to be missed!

A short distance out of town, north of Washburn. There's a parking lot and trail head making it super easy to access this trail. Be careful during ice season! The water falls are awesome, and the sand stone cliffs overlooking Lake Superior are spectacular. Totally...More

Nice, shorter hike in the woods down to the lake. Cool little river cuts into the various rock making the river place meander and exposes variations in the rock layers. Out and back hike with great views on lake superior as a half-way treat.

Despite the fact that the storms have produced a lot of rain, the falls was fairly dry. The trail was nice, not a difficult walk for families. The end of the trail it was right at a bay of Lake Superior so that part was...More

Great easy hike through wonderful northern Wisconsin woodlands, this is a hike for the entire family. Loved the waterfall at the end and the interesting and varied plant life along the way. There were tons of wildflowers in early August.

After hiking and no falls asked locals. They chuckled, this is an overflow fall that requires a lot of rain to see any waterfalls.

Very nice Walk about a half mile each way, board walks and trails, gorge, rock formations and ends at the water. Very nice, and there were not very many people there when we went in July.

Great 1.4 mile hike. Well maintained and beautiful views. I love the info about the history of the land. Great place to swim as well.

Easy trail with lovely scenery. Easy to find, short stop to kill some time on a meaningful hike. Sells were gorgeous, but wasn't that easy to determine what trails were meant to be traveled versus ones that were created by ones wondering.
