They always have something cool to go see and the outside sculpture park is my favorite. The kid's playroom always has something fun too. The last time I was there they had the Walter Wick exhibit and it was exceptional!

The Birds in Art juried show attracts artists worldwide, and its held in September. The Owen Gromme exhibit is a constant, adn other travelling shows abound thru the year. Activities for children and learning opportunities for adults make this grteat for all ages. Enjoy the sculpture garden or ice sculptures depending on the season.

The exhibit changes regularly. Small enough to tour in half of a day. Also has a hands on childcenter.

Yes, exhibitions from the Museum's collection - avian art and art of the natural world - and varied temporary exhibitions are enlivened by programs for all ages. Changing exhibition themes are incorporated into Art Park, the Museum's interactive family gallery in the lower level. Admission is always free! More

What a great free activity. We spent about two hours enjoying the Walter Wick exhibit along with the Audubon to Wyeth along with a few other collections. Art was well displayed. The museum was very spacious spread over two floors. Had a nice kids area with crafts they could make and take home, had a video showing how to do... More

My wife and I try to find new and interesting things to do on day trips. Some are busts, but this was not. We definitely want to come back in the summer. Art museums make me think of stuffy, snooty places with dark wood and serious people. This one is fun for old folks like us, and six year old... More

Great for the whole family- unbelievably still free. Enjoyably art for everyone to look at indoors and out, and also fun kids activities.

Besides the great birds in art collection, Leigh Yawkey welcomes national changing exhibits. Free will offering, and a lovely sculpture garden.

I have visited the museum in the past for different exhibits, especially the always popular birds in art. Now, I am visiting with a toddler for some of the programs designed just for them. Toddler Tuesday is once a month, and the art activities have a theme. It is generally based on something at the museum. Have you ever thought... More

Very nice small museum in Wausau, both indoor and outdoor facilities. I am a bit tired of Birds in art, it seems to last for 6 months.
