**We are currently closed for renovations. Our Office is located at the Tubing Chalet just South of the Ski/Snowboard Entrance and is open 8am to 4pm Monday thru Friday.**

Since 1938, Wilmot Mountain has enchanted families as one of the Midwest’s premier Winter destinations for snowsport activities. Just a short drive away from Chicago and Milwaukee, they have made skiing, snowboarding, and tubing an easy, accessible, affordable and fun trip for the whole family.

With the recent Vail Purchase, Wilmot Mountain is undergoing a $13.2 million renovation. This renovation includes new lifts, a base area transformation, an expanded state-of-the-art snowmaking system, a new kid's ski and snowboard school with an enhanced beginner's area, and a new terrain park with high speed rope tow.

Having converted thousands of first-timers into lifelong skiers and riders, and now with the opportunity to take that passion to Vail Resorts’ iconic western mountains, Wilmot Mountain is truly the place where Epic begins.

What a stunning place right in our backyard. The upgrades throughout are fantastic all throughout the indoors and out. Very impressive and welcoming. The staff are very helpful in each area you go. We had an issue with our little guy just not being ready for the ski lesson and they were good enough to refund for us. We will... More

The ski chalet has been completely renovated and is a great place to relax and enjoy some food and drinks. The mountain itself is what it is, a small hill. Nothing really steep, no fun natural features, and no jumps in the park. Good for 2 hours of messing around then it gets boring. Come here for really early beginners,... More

We have lived in the area for 28 years and spent a lot of time skiing with our kids at Wilmot Mt. Well, the kids are all grown up, and Wilmot Mountain was recently sold to the Epic group. After many years, we decided to take a trip back in time and see what changes have been made. We ended... More

We visited Wilmot this past weekend and had some positive and negative experiences. On the positive: -the ski lesson was useful, it helped our kids learn basics -the snow was well groomed -the facilities are basically ok and you can spend the day there and have a good experience On the negative side: -we were lucky to go there at... Great ski school. Teachers are really good with children and facility was recently upgraded...BIG difference. Magic carpet. Ski runs are pretty decent for midwest and lifts are in good condition. Not so good: - Food is very expensive. - All Sundays the best runs are blocked for races most of the morning and early afternoon.

I am not an outside cold weather person, but I took my nephews there and everything was amazing. I love the inside fire place. Went our couple times to take pictures of the kids but nothing better than the warmest inside.

The Wilmot Mountain snow tubing hills are fast and fun. The 2 hour rental time was okay, but 3 hours would have been better. Wasn't too busy on the day we went. Seemed to space out the crowd by only selling certain amount of spots for each time. The lines to get down the hill were short. However, the line... More

We met family at Wilmot Mountain. The kids and younger adults all had fun tubing. They were a bit surprised there was a two hour time limit for the $25 price which doesn't allow much time to come inside to warm up. At the tubing lodge, the only food is concession food, and not particularly good, either. The cheese sticks... More

During our day on the slopes, it was great fun but only because we knew what to expect.. we arrived an hour early before the slopes opened and thank god we did.. we were the first to get tickets, skiis and boots and went atleast 20 times down the hill before traffic began to hit the lifts. I couldn't believe... More

Of course I knew, going into it, that Wilmot is an icy little hill outside Kenosha. So I had bargain-basement expectations. But my kids, 10 and 7, are just learning to ski, and they're not exactly snow snobs. But wow, Vail Resorts -- way to fail to deliver on even these low expectations! 1) it's hard to find. You'd think... More
