There is quite a bit packed into a small area here. The indoor area has a lot of information along with art from local artists and some artifacts relating to the Fort. The walk outside among the outbuildings is quite interesting, although a little taxing...More

this is a small reconstruction of a fort and mormon ferry and is not really that great. however the inside museum with the history of casper is excellent - except the appalling lack of reference to Native American Indians. Their experience and suffering was huge...More

Wyoming and particularly Casper were the site of many historical events and occurrences you'd likely never have guessed. Fort Caspar Museum and Historic Site offers a fascinating historical perspective, and the museum, while small, has so much information to be learned.

Good stop for something to do if you have time to review the history of Fort Casper. The grounds look pretty old and I am sure a small fee is required to walk it.

This was a great way to spend some time learning about the history of Wyoming, and we enjoyed the gallery and touring the reconstructed sites.
