This is great value, just $3 gets you into this terrific museum with original buildings furnished and equipped exactly as in the time it was in use as a military fort. Lots of atmosphere, lots of interesting history. Highly recommended.

It wasn't hard to find. Google map took me right to it. Adult admission fee is $3.00 and it's a self guided tour although the people who work there would be happy to answer any questions. Many things to read about the history of Casper...More

This is a city of Casper run attraction and boy do they do it right. It was a rainy morning when we arrived and they were just opening the fort and buildings. Jamie was an excellent tour guide and gave us a close up look...More

Fort Caspar gives you a good feel for what it must have been like in the Wyoming territory in the mid nineteenth century. Allow about an hour.

The exhibit hall is okay. There is an okay amount of civil war and Fort Casper but there's a lot of other stuff that is more modern and/or native stuff. The fort section is well presented. Looking in the cabins and seeing how they lived...More

Very interesting historical site. They were chinking the logs in the old buildings when we were there. The site is very well kept and has a nice visitor's center.

I was here as a classroom teacher, and can't wait to come back as a "civilian." The museum gives a chronological and interactive history of Natrona County. The outside buildings help explain the importance of the fort to our town, and if you are lucky...More

Fort Caspar Museum is a great place to get the real history of the area and learn more about frontier life. They have a variety of exhibits, some permanent and some that change, and on some weekends have special events.
