Great hosts who give you a history of the museum, fantastic displays, a movie room in the back that plays videos on founding women. I could stay all day, great place to visit!

This museum was a great find . Don't miss the the movie. My husband and I enjoyed it. Lots of interesting displays. Learned a lot about the women of the west. And it's free. Also check out the cowgirl emporium next door.

We wanted to visit the Cowgirls of the West Museum while in Cheyenne, but discovered when we got there that is it closed until May 2017. Disappointing!

This was well located and easy to walk to in the downtown area. Despite arriving after closing time, we were able to partake of the great window displays.

It wasn't our favorite museum stop in Cheyenne but was interesting as a woman to see how they helped to shape the wild west. There's lots of signs with info on them so my 12 year old got bored quickly.

Cowgirls Museum is great. So much to read about so many interesting women. Some you know, many you don't. The history of women who rode broncos and bulls in the early 20th century is especially interesting. You will get lost in the long video too.
