My parents visited this museum 30 years ago and were impressed by it then, it is probably even better today. Very nicely laid out, very well explained and some nice taxidermy. There is some very nice art as well, I especially liked the modern art, it is a shame the museum shop doesn't sell these as prints. Highly recommended

The amount of things available for view in the museum is deceiving by the outside appearance. This museum is very well laid out and full of history and art. The quality of the museum is that of a museum you would find in one of Americas big cities. The admittance fee was good for two days, so if you couldn't... More

This is so comprehensive it is almost overwhelming. It is easy to get there as it is right on the main highway. Good parking and very easy to see everything but you have to give yourself three hours to get it all in.

Really interesting museum in Cody. We learned so much about the history of the west and how it was settled. It was split into different parts. Huge area for guns which I'm not interested in but loved the part with all the Wild Bill history. Nice pictures, clothing and displays. Nice area with art too. Definitely one to visit while... More

Leave yourself at least 3 hours to fully enjoy this museum. The Buffalo Bill center is also home to 4 other museums including a gun museum and natural history museum. There is a coffee shop with simple lunch options. Lots of free talks, guided tours and performances. Check the schedule in advance.

My husband had to work so I decided to spend the day in the museum. The Whitney art museum now has a self guided audio tour... Really added to the experience. 1 o'clock they announced a highlight tour of the museum which I joined. It was terrific. Shout out to Lew our docent. We received a bit of information on... More

We went with our children, who weren't as into the history as we were. They did enjoy the games and buffalo exhibits, as well as sitting inside the earth lodge in the Indian gallery. We didn't have enough time to go through all the museums, which was disappointing but also gives us a reason to return to Cody! We also... More

There is so much to see at the Buffalo Bill Center that it blew our minds. Fortunately your ticket is good for two days. The building itself is wonderful, the exhibits very well done, and the vast collection is amazing. Art, guns of the west, artifacts, history, bird sanctuary, live demonstrations...on and on. Make sure to include it in your... More

This was a very cool place! They have 5 museums in one place. I loved all of them. The Buffalo Bill Museum was my favorite. I learned a lot about him. The Natural History Museum was also great!! My husband and father-in-law LOVED the firearms museum. They both said they could have spent the entire day in that one museum... More
