Absolutely beautiful and well worth a stop!

Absolutely beautiful! Well worth the drive up the gravel road. We came up at sunset, right after a quick rainstorm and were treated to a rainbow and the most beautiful colors. We also saw an antelope that came up and snorted at us. Some of the best photos of our trip and that included Grand Teton and Yellowstone.

Best view in town

We went up here our last day in town. We wanted to find a good spot to see the sunset and boy did this not disappoint! I only wish we had hiked it during the day. The overlook had amazing 360 degree views and the sunset was immaculate! Don't miss this stop! We spent about 30-45 minutes up there.

Plenty of parking and just a short drive for an incredible view. See the abandoned ‘drag strip’ for horse races.

Quick and awesome drive to lookout over Dubois

Recommend a high profile vehicle like a 4x4 truck or SUV as the road is rough and rocky. It was windy on top but gives you a great view of the area and only takes 30 min or less.

Overlook views before dinner

This was right by our rental house and a great place to ride up to for a gorgeous view. We are from the Houston Texas area so we don’t have the opportunity to enjoy Mountain View’s like this - not to mention the 60 degree weather and 25 percent humidity!!!!

Great view

We spent one afternoon exploring around Dubois. The Scenic Overlook was worth our time. The area is scenic and a departure from Yellowstone and GTNP. We love this area.

Worth the Stop!

We were driving to Grand Teton National Park, and passed through Dubois on the way there. We decided to drive to the top of this overlook, and are so glad we did. It was a gravel road, but our minivan did just fine on the road. Go slow and you will be fine. It was a super short drive to the top, only about 10 minutes each way. The view is beautiful! It looked like rain was moving in, so we didn’t stay as long as we would have. Our original plan was to eat lunch at the top, and if it wasn't for the incoming rain, that would have been a great idea. You could do this within 30 minutes if needed, but I would give yourself 45 minutes for sure to appreciate all the beauty.

You can hike up to the top, but we didn't have the time for that.

Awesome views!!

A great quick stop. Incredible views with easy access, you can drive right to the top. They also have mountain bike trials if you are so inclined. If staying in Dubois or passing through, don’t miss this free stop along the way.
