Lots of interesting art to see...really liked the sculptures and the staff was very friendly. If you have kids with you there is one painting, was an abstract nude, that surprised us as we walked in the room. Not a prude, however don't feel it was appropriate.

The museum stands remotely on a bute on the way to town facing the planes and magnificent views of the Elk Refuge. The statues of wild life are strategically and with great taste positioned to match the landscaping. Inside the museum there is a lot of beautiful work all inspired by wildlife. Beautiful museum and worth visiting.

Although it is the museum I personally think it would be boring for kids to go there unless they're having a workshop. The artwork is absolutely amazing and also the bronzes and statues that bring Jackson hole to life I recommend it for older adults just because I think children will get bored but it is something to see and... We are delighted to see the artwork already hanging for the 30th Anniversary celebration this summer! The collection has grown tremendously! We enjoyed the Sandy Scott exhibit of etchings, drawings, paintings, and sculptures- a wonderful retrospective! Wonderful to see Tucker Smith's painting of the Elk refuge, then walk to the window to see 10,000 elk this year! A must-do when... More

Hi, thank you for taking the time to write us a review. Yes, we are undergoing a gallery reinterpretation and re installation of master works in our permanent collection for our 30th Anniversary exhibition "Exploring Wildlife Art." It officially opens this summer, but I'm glad you enjoyed what you saw so far! I agree, Sandy Scott's work is impressive too!... More

Exquisite art and local history. Have been here several times visiting from Denmark since 1997. The building is a piece of art in its own right.

The art here is mostly wildlife and excellent. We've made several visits and are always drawn back to see the premier painting of Chief an American Bison. The outdoor statutes and walks are breath taking with the Elk preserve in the foreground. Restful place.

As a family of 4, we spent an enjoyable 2 hours at the museum looking at the paintings, sculptures and checking out the Elk Reserve across the street. Some significant highlights: - The Rungius collection is amazing, and well curated. Following his career and learning about how his approach changed, was fascinating. - the Artist Studio was excellent and the... More

This is a very nice museum featuring wildlife art by area and other artists, including some big names like Andy Warhol and Georgia O'Keefe. If there's bad weather keeping you off the mountains, this is a great way to spend an afternoon.
