A group I was traveling with recently went fly fishing with Snake River Angler. The day before, it rained hard and as a result, the water was murky at the south end. The guides knew that the conditions weren't great and said as much, but...More

Our guide, Travis, deserved some kind of medal of honor for patience! He worked extremely hard to put us on some fish. We enjoyed a full day float with beautiful scenery and lots of good conversation. My husband did catch two trout, but I was...More

We have an opportunity to be in the Snake River area on Sept. 7, 2016. I've looked up average temperatures but it's hard for me as a Floridian to really know what to expect on the river. Will we get wet? What clothing is recommended.

We did not get wet fly fishing. I wore a T-shirt and a shirt over it and I was very comfortable. On our rafting trip, we did get wet. You could rent a wet suit, but I didn't do that and I was fine. I hope this helps.

We will be on a bus tour in Jackson Hole and Grand Teton on the 7th of September 2016. A float trip on the Snake River is being offered which sound lovely. However we are Floridians and used to warm weather and don't have very warm clothing. Of course no one can predict the weather on a specific day but I wonder if we will get wet, and just how cold we might be. I don't know at this point what time the float is supposed to start.
