Don't miss this gem near Lander Wyoming! Paved side walks and a large deep pool of large trout, with a feeding station for adults and children!

SCSP has nice family camping along the river, with wonderous attractions, nature trails, and a fun visitor center right above where the whole river drops into a cave. Don't miss the "rise" a kilometer down-canyon where huge trout hang out. There is also world class sport and trad climbing, as well as road and mountain bike trails in the canyon.

What a beautiful park to tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the sights and wildlife. The fish were enormous and the view was spectacular! Was a great place to visit.

I had booked a yurt at this state park just because it was convenient and inexpensive after leaving Thermopolis. What an absolutely stunning place. Our yurt was actually adorable. We spent so much time with our kids feeding the fish, they will always remember that. We are from Minnesota but have been to most of the state parks in Wyoming,... More

Hit this on our way out to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone. Unexpected! Really impressed and will have to return just to concentrate on enjoying this state park.

Sinks Canyon is a must see. Located in the out skirts of Lander in an incredible mystery of nature. The Popo Agie River actually runs under the canyon walls and surfaces a short distance downstream. You can actually climb down to the mouth of the canyon where there is a rather large cavern. Roaming around I wondered if there was... More

We didn't take any hikes or perhaps we would have seen some splendor. We thought the scenery was rocky, barren and kind of boring. We expected to see some color. Perhaps too early. Would only go here if you must overnight in Lander.

This is amazing! Once the river disappears underground, it takes 2 and a half hrs. to emerge at a spot just a quarter of a mile down the road. Imagining all the deep caverns and underground pathways it must travel is mind boggling! There is a pool where it finally emerges filled with the fattest, happiest trout I've ever seen!
