If you're into FLAT lakes in the middle of the prairie then the Plains Lakes are a good place to visit. I've only been a few times but the fishing is usually quite good.

During the fall and early winter the surrounding lakes are great for duck and goose hunting. Fishing is steady year round. As Long as you have cocer from the Wyoming wind ice fishing the plans lakes can be entertaining.
