So beautiful- an amazing amount of water flows over & around the rock formations. The signage is excellent and trails easy walking. Photo ops everywhere. Watch for the hummingbirds and little critters like chipmunks & squirrels too. Safe to take kids with the side rails.

Good access to paths overlooking the canyon and falls. In summer its a great place to watch hummingbirds. Books, brochures and restrooms are available inside.

The scenic route via Shell Valley and falls was the best choice on our way to Cody, WY. We enjoyed the views and wildlife. The falls are beautiful.

We drove up thru the bighorn mountain range. I saw two moose, cattle grazing, as well as sheep wondering around freely protected by by two large great Pyrenees's dogs. The overlook area at shell falls was closed for renovations but the area is beautiful.

Great Place to stop when it's open, however it was a real disappointment to get there and it was closed. Maybe next time. The Water Fall is nice regardless if they are open or not I guess.

Worth stopping for when driving Rt 14 to or from Yellowstone. However, it is closed for all of 2017 due to rebuilding the infrastructure.

We haven't had snow since last month. I think the storm you're referring to was south; Laramie/Cheyenne area.
