We drove from Kona for approx. 1 hour and 50 minutes. The scenery changed several times and it did rain closer we got to the destination. The rain is defiantly needed for all the beauty we got to see in this park. Entrance fee was...More

I use a cane and was unable to walk very far. There was no where for me to sit and wait. My husband did the walk dwn and up and he said it was nice.

Obviously a Big Island Landmark. Wonderful. Next to Hilo .We used the services of a guide because there are many other things to visit in the area.

It is a short hike to the falls if you turn left. The long walk around is beautiful. We paid the $5 fee to park.

Well worth the effort to see the falls. Forget about taking a tour, save money and drive yourself so much easier. Small entrance fee which pays for the upkeep of the park. We also included Rainbow Falls and the Lava caves along the way.
