If you ride everyday, or never been on a horse, you should take this ride! Did this 15 years ago, and again this year - was just as amazing as the first time. The valley is so stunning by itself, add in the unique history from each of the guides, and the relaxing atmosphere!

My husband and I went on the morning Waipio Valley Tour with Na'alapa Stables. We booked online and received our 10% discount, which was a very easy process. We arrived early and browsed a really nice arts and gifts store before checking in and there was an ample parking lot in back. The shuttle van pulled up and we started... More

So much fun. We originally wanted a Waipio Valley ride, but it wasn't available and I'm glad! The views! I love this part of the island. Our guides, sisters, Darien and Kiva, were a delight - as were the other riders. The horses were a pleasure, well cared for and certainly well fed! My husband is a beginner and he... More

We had an absolute blast on this horseback tour. Incredible views and extremely well behaved horses. As a beginner rider, I felt very safe on the horse I had, Mary. The two ladies that guided our tour were very knowledgeable and they did a fantastic job!! Would highly recommend!!

This nose to tail walk through the beautiful Waipio valley was well worth the price for the beautiful scenery. We saw wild horses on our ride. If we could have ridden to the black sand beach I would have rated it a 5 . I believe she said some horses don't like the beach/ wave action. Our guide was very... More

The horses here are very well cared for (healthy weight, good feet, grained after the ride). We had local guides Jamie and Grace. They were super informative about island and valley history, plant ID, etc. One thing that caught me off guard was you ride on an isolated road versus trail, but when you're in the valley, you can understand... So happy you enjoyed visiting and learning about Waipio Valley with us! We take pride in keeping the experience authentic, and enjoyable. Although they can be stubborn from time to time (especially that one who insists on being #4 in the trail ride. No, not #3 or even #1 but FOURTH) we love and care for them as much as... More

We are so glad we did this trip! The ride down to Waipio Valley requires 4 wheel drive, but it's also a very narrow bumpy road, and there are rules to follow about when to let other cars coming up get through before trying to drive down. We saw some tourists trying to drive down in their jeeps, and it... More

I agree with all these positive reviews. We had a wonderful tour on horseback into a beautiful valley, a very different world from the resort areas. One of the guides, Jamie, gave the best demonstration I've ever seen on how to handle your horse. Both guides told some of the history of Waipio Valley, some of which we knew, but... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the horseback tour of this majestic valley. Margaret was professional, well informative and ran a safe ride. It is a gift to see this valley on horseback. We even saw wild horses roaming. The novice riders on the tour enjoyed as well. We rode in the rain. They had gear at the stable and the rain did... More
