A friend recommended the Wood Valley Temple and, as I was wanting time for a quiet spiritual retreat and fortunate to have the time, I booked a week there. Lovely temple, lovingly cared for in a serene tropical setting. Great place to take time out for a quiet meditation.

I found this worthy sanctuary in 2005 and it remains my destination of choice for when I need to retreat from the world at large and reconnect with my interior self. The morning prayers and the Tara Temple are added place of refuge. This location of retreat allows you privacy and connection with the natural experience that is the real... More

If you want to do something different, this is it. We probably would not have made a special trip here, but the temple is only a couple of miles up the road from the Kaʻū Coffee Mill, so we decided to see it. Although it is close, it is not an easy place to find because it is so secluded.... More

It took a bit to find this little gem, but well worth the search. My husband stayed with the kids while I explored this treasure alone. I saw one individual in the distance, otherwise I had the yard and temple to myself. The temple was elegant, peaceful and well maintained. The guest book showed there have been quite a few... More

My family thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Wood Valley Temple. Its a short ride off the main road - through some stunning countryside. Once you see the temple - it puts you in a state of calm & zen. It is modest in size - but it was very peaceful & welcoming. It was so quiet up there -... More
