We stayed in the Hale Hui Oceanfront vacation cottage. You can find it at VRBO. Com. The best vacation of my life. It has its own private pond that connects to the tide pools. It has many fish and eels to look at right outside...More

I rate this high as a snorkeler's venue. The area is very unique with a myriad of tide pools to explore. The waters are calm and protected by a barrier reef. Walking on the rocky edges of the tide pools can be slippery and difficult...More

As good as any I have done. Plenty of fish, protected area from the surf and clean..... You park a couple of blocks length from the tidepools. This keeps the rubbish out, and probably keeps the population using the tide pools down. Coral and Fish.......More

We are scuba divers and were leary of another snorkel, but this was highly recommended by several friends. Very unique! Huge fish diversity, budding coral, fun to watch the mixing of temperatures and types of water as you swim thru it. So many pools to...More

The Kapoho tide pools are well worth a visit. We snorkel a lot, everywhere, and the water quality, fish diversity, and the size of individual specimens in the tide pools is impressive. Plus the snorkeling in and around the maze of pools is totally fun....More

We absolutely loved this place! The diversity of sea life here is astounding and you feel extremely safe in the tide pools. The water is crystal clear and you see this strange viscous phenomenon in the water as hot water mixed with cold. There are...More

You have to walk through a neighborhood to get there, maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile, but it is worth it. Lots to see, no wave action at all, at least when we were there. Perhaps there is more at high tide.

Despite the convoluted parking instructions some people give it’s not complicated: if you use gps (google or apple) it will take you to a private drive that has painfully clear signage directing you where to park if you aren’t a resident. Then a 5 or...More

We had this place recommended by a local, she compared it to "swimming in an aquarium". We only struggled with getting a Taxi to take us. The taxi driver tried to taking us out of going here for a range of reasons. I'm SO glad...More

Check tropical snorkeling. Slack high tide will keep uou above the reefs and you won't need to put feet or hands down, which damages the coral. Use hard soled warer shoes or reef shoes, not fins. I felt really weird... More
