The Kapoho Tide Pools are really interesting. The walk to the tide pools from the parking area is around .3 miles. The walk is worth the activity and sites. The pools have crystal clear water with a wide variety of sea life. Is you snorkel,...More

This is a beautiful spot to spend a day with those who might not be comfortable in deep water, very active reef and lots of fish!

I went at high tide. Though the smaller pools are then full -- this made it hard to find and get out to the far, deep pools with the best fish. Maybe arriving 1-2 hour before/after high tide is best, so you can walk out...More

We parked, provided a small donation, and made the short walk to the pools (small directions are spray painted on the streets). We went through several of the pools (I agree with having some type of Teva sandal or water shoe) and did not need...More

I really enjoyed this spot more than our other snorkeling adventure. I loved the small pools and the safety.

Lots of beautiful fishes, but beware the sharp lava rocks. Saw a man fell and cut both knees and arms badly! Wouldn't be a bad idea to wear a pair of jeans over your swimwear when walking over the rocks. Shoes recommended. Going at mid...More

Check tropical snorkeling. Slack high tide will keep uou above the reefs and you won't need to put feet or hands down, which damages the coral. Use hard soled warer shoes or reef shoes, not fins. I felt really weird... More
