There really isn’t much there. It was sad to see so many empty storefronts. We did end up renting chairs and a boogie board from a store here and we got shave ice from the Original Big Island Shave Ice, but there wasn’t as many shops as what’s at Queen’s Marketplace.

We liked Kings Shops but personally liked Queens Market Place better it had more stores and a better variety. The stores were not very interesting to us but the General Store was 10/10 we loved it! We probably went 5 different times and I would like to give a shoutout to Delson who works at the General Store he was so nice and helped us with whatever we needed. Overall I only go for the General Store I don't really like the other places.

Visiting Kings trail and then visiting there to have lunch will be good opportunity, but unfortunately, due to Covid 19, they do not open most of shops. Please bring your foods and drinks just in case.

Let’s see; we’re staying in a popular area in Kona, heavy on condos, and some nice houses, and 2 brand name resorts anchoring the area- Marriott & Hilton. There must be some sort of commercial district nearby, correct? Of course, there are the requisite high end stores, art galleries, clothing stores, jewelry, souvenirs, and a few nice restaurants. However I wouldn’t classify Kings Shops as a destination. If you happen to be in the area it’s okay to drop in but otherwise this is the same type of shopping I’ve seen in just about every other vacation spot we’ve been to.

I had read how great the Kings and Queens shops were. But we were disappointed. Shops are expensive and quite a few empty store fronts. Foster's Kitchen is very good place to eat. As is the fish and chip stand. A bit hard to find it is facing the lake. Take my advice order the Tempura Pineapple rings but do not share because once you taste this dish you will no want to share yours with anyone. The biggest reason to visit this shopping area is to take the FREE Petroglyph Tour. This is a MUST. Check web site for days and times.

Nice collection of shops including some high end stores. Easy open air walking with a few restaurants as well. There is a gas station also beside the parking lot which is very convenient. From Whalers General Store with just about anything Hawaii and sundries to Tiffany’s Jewelry just like in NYC, it’s nice browsing or shopping.

Across the street from the Queens Market. It is a little more upscale, with shops like Tiffany, and Na Haku but it is the same that we have in the mainland. A few nice specialty shops but nothing fabulous.

Nice and close to Waikoloa, good range of shops and some decent places to eat. Lots of parking available.
