This is the best view of the north side of Kauai. Be careful in approaching the lookout, it is on a curve that is only reached when westward bound.

This is just a quick stop at one of the bends on the road. The view of Hanalei Valley is gorgeous! You can see the bay, the mountains, and part of the town. If you look south, you can see waterfalls high up in the...More

I had read so much about seeing this.. it is absolutely beautiful and different every time you stop by. It's amazing to think it was under water not that long ago. Make sure you stop and take a few pictures.

The Hanalei Valley Lookout is right off the road on the way to Hanalei Town. It's not the most amazing view, but unique in that it looks out over taro fields. It's nice, and the surrounding mountains add to the look.

We turned the corner on the Kuhio Highway and gasped. What an introduction to Hanalei - photos don't do it justice.

We stopped here several different times of various days traveling. Sunset was the best by far. Parking is tight but squeeze in. Highly recommended and bring your camera. Bill K Steamboat Springs CO.

The overlook is simply a viewpoint or pullout at the side of the road. There are no trails or walkways involved. There are several places nearby in Princeville, in Hanalei or the lighthouse where you can walk with a pram.
