I am NOT a water person and neither is my sister who went with me so we were a bit apprehensive to snorkel in the BIG OPEN BLUE. Plus we had never ever had a swim mask on, had never swam in the ocean (with LIVE critters!), and were pretty much "fish out of water" with this whole deal...yet, we... More

That title might sound like hyperbole, but I turned 40 yesterday and for as long as I can remember I've wanted to swim with sea turtles. Our guide Jimmy was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and helped me fulfill a lifelong dream, as we were able to find 3 green sea turtles! I swam just a few feet away from these... More

Craig, the owner of Malama Ke Kai is a marine biologist who has a wealth of knowledge. He provides a very good experience whether you are an experienced or novice snorkeler. We met at the St. Regis where Craig provided a video of the type of fish you can find in the Hawaii reef. He also emphasizes the importance of... More

We heard great things about this snorkeling adventure but we're able to book it til the last minute. Craig had spoken to our group and at our timeshare and he sounded terrific. Thank goodness we were able to schedule a tour. It was truly one of the best adventures we ever had. Danielle, our guide, met us promptly. She took... More

First, we're a family of 8; I've got my parents, hubby and kids, and my sister and her daughter. Ages 9-73. We ALL had an amazing adventure!! We met Craig, marine biologist and reef enthusiast, at the world class St. Regis hotel, and we sat poolside as he taught us all about the reef. He showed us pictures of the... More

If you're even remotely interested in reef wildlife this tour is a must! We had a terrific day and learned so much from our very friendly and highly knowledgable guide, Craig. Whether you're a first time beginner or a certified diver with 20 years' experience, you will have a wonderful time!

Craig has been leading snorkel tours for Reef Guides Hawaii for many years. But, now he has bought the company & is operating out of the St. Regis Hotel in Princeville on the north shore of Kauai. The snorkel trips leave from the beach in front of the hotel on Hanalei Bay. Gorgeous spot to snorkel! Craig is a marine... More

Best day of vacation! Craig & Jimmy were so patient with my child with Autism, which certainly made the adventure fun for my husband and I! She was able to complete the entire tour, not always easy for her. Saw 3 turtles & actually swam with one!! Loved the narration that the guys gave us and Jimmy towed anyone in... More

Great day snorkeling. Informative and fun. The guides were friendly and watchful for everyone's safety. We learned about the reef habitat and saw lots of fish. The lunch was delicious.

This was my second eco snorkeling experience with Reef Guides Hawaii. It mirrored my first experience last year. Our guide, Craig, Owner and Marine Biologist, provided just enough education to make our snorkeling that much better. Of course, you can snorkel on your own, but learning about the marine reef environment and the fish and turtles that we observed made... More
