We went to this beach on the recommendation of a local who said it was his favorite. The swimming was beautiful on the extreme north end of the beach, behind the lava rock breakwater. In other places, it would be dangerous. The water is crystal...More

If you enjoy body surfing or surfing this is a fun beach. The bike trail goes right by here. If you are looking for less waves go to the far north side near the rocks (but not too close), the waves are quite a bit...More

We have spent time here over the years and it really is a nice park, along the walkway and lots of beach and ramadas. The water tends to be rough so good for body boards and body surfing but scarier with young non-experienced swimmers.

Long beach, little or no shade. It has lifeguards and it was packed when we visited. Good sunrise photos though.

There is a beautiful trail that goes by this beach. There are a few covered picnic tables, too for families and small groups to have lunch or meet. It is, though, just on the highway, so it's not the out of the way beach some...More

This beach is located alongside Kuhio highway just north of Kapa'a. This beach is very long with a nice bit of sand. The Ke Ala Hele Makalae also runs alongside the beach. The parking area is very large so parking has never been a problem....More
