Started out as a Teak Wood plantation and grew into a beautiful botanical garden as well as a fabulous collection of bronze statuary. I highly recommend the tour. It is in small groups that ride in covered vehicles.

If you collect shelves of Hummel figurines, then this place is for you. If you like actual art, then head somewhere else. The art here is all sentimental and trite, without much artistic merit. The docent on our tour pretended to comment on the flora, but was unable to answer any questions or give anything but the most common nicknames... More

We have been here before, but we're a bit disappointed with today's tour. The guide was new and definitely not knowledgeable as previous guides and did not seem as interested in the gardens. We missed many of the sculptures we have so enjoyed before. Almost too much information on just the trees while missing other things. Electric carts would be... More

We loved visiting the Na Aina Kai Gardens. It is a hidden treasure on the north shore. The tour was well worth it!

Well kept gardens, well manicured, diverse plants. Clearly they get more funding than other gardens on north shore. Lots of bronze statuary. Diverse plant life from desert to jungle. Large water feature. Lots of color in March. Good tour guide. Well worth the fare.

The one negative on this is you must do guided tours. The tour I wanted to take didn't have enough people so we had to do a stroll and ride. The ride part was very uncomfortable for me. You also don't get to enjoy the gardens at your own pace. We might go back again to do the beach tour.... More

Although it seemed pricey at first, the Family Tour that we took was worth the money. Our guide Melissa was knowledgeable and gave us a nice tour of the beautiful gardens. We were a little disappointed that the hedge maze had been trimmed and was unusable, but still found everything to be wonderful. Our children loved the playground and could... More

The gardens are breathtakingly beautiful and a testament to the vision of founders Ed and Joyce Doty. I was able to take the 90-minute Stroll tour for free, through my membership in the Idaho Botanical Garden. The American Horticultural Society maintains a reciprocal program that provides admission to more than 300 member gardens nationwide. Otherwise, it would have cost me... More

We were lucky enough to get a tour with Julie, the most passionate docent I have ever met. She obviously loves the albatross and has devoted her retirement to them. She is so gentle with them and they easily accept her in their midst. She also gave us a fascinating tour of the plants and trees in the Gardens.

I volunteer at Botanical Gardens and visit them everyplace I travel. I had read online of the history of NaAinaKai and had expected so much more in regards to signage, array and variety of plants, as well as knowledge by our guide. I took the 1 1/2 hour tour and should have taken note when we were brought to a... More
