Built in the 1930's, Kilohana Plantation is a historic landmark and premier visitor attraction offering visitors and locals a glimpse into Kauai's past combined with assorted island-style activities, dining and shopping. Ride on our Kauai Plantation Railway, winding its way through the plantation's working farms and orchards. Learn about Kauai's history, enjoy the beautiful views and stop to feed the pigs! Take the afternoon to stroll the grounds and explore the 16,000 sq. foot plantation home. Stop in at Koloa Rum Co. for a rum tasting or for a full "Rum & Dining Experience." Visit the various artisan shops located around the grounds and both upstairs and downstairs in the home. Established in 1986, Gaylord's restaurant is a Kauai tradition. Set in the courtyard of the estate, it offers fresh, island-inspired food and beverages for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. Make lunch a part of your fun afternoon on the estate or make reservations for a romantic dinner. Memorable by day, unforgettable by night. Or check out Happy Hour in the new Mahiko Lounge. Luau Kalamaku is Kauai's only theatrical luau telling the story of the original Tahitian voyage to the Hawaiian islands. An interactive experience, it offers all the exciting luau features including an imu ceremony, torch lighting, Polynesian knife dance and of course traditional music & hula. Choose one or all of the features that Kilohana Plantation has to offer. Open daily, you'll love the chance to see a piece of Kauai's history while experiencing the best of the island today!

Great family fun tour. We took the 4 hour train and nature walk tour. It includes lunch and picking of fruit off their trees. Well worth it.

This is where we went for our Luau. The grounds are spectacular. We took a train ride around the plantation and learned about the history, saw all the fruits, and wild pigs.

My wife and I visited here our last day on Kauai as a way to pass the day waiting for our evening flight out. Nice shops. Enjoyed the rum tasting. Had a delicious lunch on the outdoor terrace. Lots of interesting history too about the sugar plantation.

Large old plantation with a restaurant and shops and train. We only went to the rum tasting which was excellent. The types of rum you taste change each day. This is just off the main highway so easy to access.

We (2 couples) toured the estate on their replica train and joined the luau afterwards. We arrived around 5 pm and left after 9. The 40 minute train ride provided a fun and informative overview on the operation of the plantation estate today. The rail line traverses through the entire estate and gives us a glimpse of their livestock and... More

There is a wonderful restaurant here named Gaylords. Food and service was superb. There were some different items on menu than most restaurants. Along with fish or Filet, they had wonderful spare ribs and also short ribs. Not on the beach but still great atmosphere.

We took the tour package of the plantation, learned how the mai tai was made using the sugar cane that is grown there, toured in a van and saw the ferrel pigs and goats, and had dinner at Gaylord's. We didn't really get to tour the historic home or pick our own fruit like we were told we would get... More

We ate at the Gaylord Restaurant and visited the stores at this facility. Also attended their luau. We highly recommend the Kilohana Plantation Estate.

We stopped here to explore the old plantation home, check out Gaylords Restaurant, and look in the few shops that are in various rooms. There are old pictures in the hallway showing the history of the sugar industry on Kauai. Good for a couple of hours.

Very picturesque grounds, good food. We didn't get to spend enough time to do the rum tasting but overall very nice.
