The hardest part of getting to this store is getting into the parking lot as traffic is heavy at times. The fabrics were colourful and vibrant with many of them specific to Hawaii. The prices are very good for what you get. This is a great place for that person who enjoys making creations from fabrics.

The selection is lovely. They carry Made in Hawaii quilted gift items for those of us who don't have the quilting bug. The staff was very helpful, and I was able to pick out a really special, handmade souvenir!

If you like hand made cloth products, check out this place (as well as the Koa Wood Store close by). The store is full of beautiful fabrics and related products: little bags and pouches, quilts, seat belt covers, kitchen related soft goods... Be sure to pick up their version of a Kauai chicken. They will even make you a custom... More

The assortment of Hawaiian print is large and the batit's selection is the largest I've seen. You can order by phone after seeing fabric on Facebook. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the prices were great. Fun to see the local artistry on display.Even has a porch the the gentleman to wait for their wives.

My wife LOVES this place and we usually stop by a couple of times --this trip just once. Unique Hawaiaan fabrics and some gifts items (such as stuffed animals, aprons, doll clothes etc.) Front porch looks like a general store in a small Alabama town, littered with husbands killing time -- though there are a few day-glo 'Hunt Hawaii!' t-shirts... My husband and I were looking for a unique Hawaiian tablecloth to commemorate our visit to Kauai, but couldn't find anything. One of our friends who is a quilter, suggested we stop at Kapaia to look at fabric to make our own. What a gem! They have a large assortment of gorgeous Hawaiian fabrics. We found exactly what we wanted... More

My wife loves this place. We stop in every time we visit Kauai. This is a 4 week visit and I'm sure we'll be back before we head home. Their selection of fabrics is great. Service is fabulous and my wife is never disappointed. Just went there earlier today and we'll be back. The only saving grace from a husband's... More

I am a quilter and absolutely love this store for its helpful staff, kits, fabrics, display quilts (wow!) and many sewn articles for sale. It has absolutely beautiful Hawaiian fabrics - how much can I fit into my suitcase? Love the store - I visit it each time I am in Kauai.

My wife is a long-time quilter, and her eyes lit up when she saw the large selection of fabrics and supplies inside the Kapaia Stitchery store. Lucky for me they have the traditional "husband waiting room" on the front porch, so I could rest comfortably in the pleasant shade outdoors while my wife went wild inside. She found several tropical... More
