I have been visiting Kaua'i for 3 years and tried finding information about its history. I found a few signs at different sites and a bit in tourist books and on maps. It has been sparse and often more generally about Hawaii. This museum has a clear focus on Kaua'i. A wide ranging collection going back many centuries. Very helpful... More

A great history of Kauai going back to before all the non-natives arrived. Super informative, knowledgeable employees, and a great gift shop.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Kauai Museum. We especially loved the welcome and orientation we received from James, a former history teacher who clearly loves sharing his knowledge and passion for all things Hawaiian.

The building is part of the charm of the museum. We received at great introduction and left far more knowledgeable. The wood exhibit is terrific! The tapas in the gi f t shop were over priced

The museum preserved the history of the Kauain included Oriental Section along with some good information on plantation. The gift shop is a must visit. Beautiful pieces. Great prices. Loved the visit.
